Helen McCrory's Career Defining Performance 10/3 to 10/5

"A piercing, painful vision of passion and betrayal." – The Evening Standard (read full review here)
Helen McCrory returns to the venerable National Theatre of London for the title role of Medea, playing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, October 3 to 5 at 1:00 pm each day at the Gables Cinema. Directed by Carrie Cracknell from a new version by Ben Power, this modern-dress production follows Medea, a barbarian woman who left her home and bore two sons for her husband, Greek hero Jason. When Jason abandons her for another woman, Medea is driven to the edge of despair and plots revenge so appalling it shocked even Ancient Greek audiences. The Evening Standard calls Medea, “A piercing, painful vision of passion and betrayal.” The play lasts just under two hours. Performances are captured live and presented in stunning 2K Digital Cinema Projection that brings the stage to the audience. Tickets to these special screenings are $20 and under and can be purchased for Friday, 10/3 here, Saturday, 10/4 here and Sunday, 10/5 here.
