The Sandlot

The Sandlot

Repertory

Scotty Smalls is the new kid in town, desperately trying to fit in. When the leader of the neighborhood team recruits him to play on the nearby sandlot field – even though Scott cannot throw a ball to save his life – it’s the beginning of a magical summer of baseball, wild adventures, first kisses and fearsome confrontations with the dreaded beast and its owner (James Earl Jones) who live behind the left field fence.

“The Sandlot is scene after scene after scene of nostalgia-glasses-viewed perfection. It’s a love letter to summer and that time in our lives when we’re in transition.”

– Scott Beggs, Film School Rejects
