Wes Anderson is known for his idiosyncratic style that combines precise compositions with bright colors and detailed miniatures. With The Fantastic Mr. Fox, he uses the freeing medium of stop-motion animation to take these elements one step further. Featuring the voices of Anderson regulars Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and big-name newcomers like George Clooney and Meryl Streep (Mr. and Mrs. Fox respectively), Fantastic Mr. Fox tells the story of a family of foxes living an idyllic home life…but after twelve years, the bucolic existence proves inadequate for Mr. Fox’s wild animal instincts and he slips into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief, endangering not only his beloved family but the whole animal community. Utilizing classic old-fashioned techniques, Anderson brings Roald Dahl’s children’s story to life and argues that being different isn’t bad—it’s fantastic.

Culturally rich, inexpensive family fun featuring beloved classics and new favorites for all to enjoy. Hosted on the second Saturday & Sunday of every month. Admission is pay what you can per ticket, with a suggested price of $5 per person. Presented in partnership with Books & Books and Coral Gables Museum.
