Charlie Bucket discovers an elusive “Golden Ticket” that grants the holder a lifetime supply of candy and a tour of Willy Wonka’s famous factory. Joined by four other winners, who are some of the most odious children you’ll ever meet, Charlie journeys through a strange, surreal landscape featuring a river of chocolate and other fantastical sweets. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Roald Dahl story if it didn’t take a dark, macabre turn: one by one, the kids are punished by Wonka for violating the spirit of the factory as they succumb to their perilous vices. 55 years later, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is an established cult classic that continues to transfix children and adults alike with its imaginative setting and twisted sense of humor. Gene Wilder, ever the deadpan genius, is in top form as the eccentric chocolatier.

Admission is pay what you can per ticket, with a suggested price of $5 per person. Presented in partnership with Books & Books and Coral Gables Museum.
