A Tuba To Cuba

A Tuba To Cuba

Jazz Appreciation Month | Sponsored Screening by William Spratt

Film followed by a Q&A with co-director T.G. Herrington and moderator Carter Jackson-Brown.

A Tuba To Cuba follows New Orleans’ famed Preservation Hall Jazz Band as they retrace their musical roots from the storied city of jazz to the shores of Cuba. A son seeks to fulfill his late father’s dream by taking his band to the shores of the island, where — through the universal language of music — dark and ancient connections between their peoples reveal the roots of jazz, and in turn discover a connection that runs much deeper than could have been imagined.

About T.G. Herrington

The film was an official selection to Sundance and Cannes Film festivals. Herrington then shifted gears to become Executive Producer on the epic Civil War drama, The Free State Of Jones, starring Academy Award Winner® Matthew McConaughey. The beginning of 2018 marked the World Premiere of A Tuba To Cuba at SXSW. TG’s first feature documentary that will be making its way through the festival circuit.
