After Hours: Women Unbound
30th Anniversary
Before The Matrix trilogy took the world by storm, the Wachowskis made their directorial debut with Bound, a neo-noir crime thriller starring Jennifer Tilly as Violet and Gina Gershon as Corky, two lovers who hatch a plan to steal $2 million from the mafia. The film was a critical hit upon its release, receiving much-deserved praise for its heartfelt depiction of a lesbian relationship and its clever, sophisticated directorial style. Now, thirty years later, the film is not only one of the most stylish films of the 90s, but also one of the best films, period.
