80th Anniversary

New Mexico Territory, 1870s. In the time when the railroads are pushing west through the American West, Susan Bradley (Garland) arrives in a frontier town as a mail-order bride, only to discover that her betrothed is the town drunk. Bradley finds employment at the Harvey House restaurant, bringing beauty, good food and culture to the untamed town–changes opposed by a number of hard-edged local folks. Featuring the Academy Award®-winning song “On the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe.”

An exclusive member benefit that sings with gratitude and delight. Musicals for Members offers Gables Cinema members free admission (when reserved in person) to classic and cherished musicals—celebrating timeless stories told through song, dance, and dazzling performances. This joyful series is made possible by the generous support of the Harry & Mary Perrin Fund and the Slesnick Family Fund of the Coral Gables Community Foundation, and is proudly hosted by Don Slesnick.
